  1. Stop Taking Plastic Bags From Shops -

Last year Ireland brought a new tax on Carrier bags which has been very succesful. Its amazing how many people now remember to bring their shopping bags with them!

  2. Send a Child a Christmas Box -

I have heard that Samaritans Purse put pamphlets into the shoe boxes to try and convert! has anyone else heard this? Is it true?

  3. Commit random acts of generosity -

I used to work in IT (before fulltime Christian Ministry) so perhaps I can help people get familiar with PC software etc. I’m sure there are plenty of others who find technology easy and can pass on their skills?

  4. Buy Nothing on Buy Nothing Day (In November) -

Londonwroes said it! every single little thing that an individual does means something. I too think of our generous community when I turn off the tap during the brushing teeth ritual! You can only act in your own time and place (and spread the word obviously!)

  5. Choose to have one meat-free day a week in your home -

I’m afraid I or should I say WE failed miserably at this action….the rows over dinners go on, I will try again in the new year….otherwise known as the long finger!

  6. Slap a Ticket on an Urban 4x4 -

I must say I like the idea of this (although I havn’t get checked out the actual tickets!) I did something similiar to this last year, there was a local evangelical church who were big on community and yet each sunday they completely blocked out the paths around their church with their rather large cars!! After one sunday watching an old lady with a zimmerframe attempting to walk on the road, I decided to act. Each sunday I would put little bible verses under their car wipers reminding them of their duty to others and pointing out their erratic parking. Their parking improved almost immediately and up till the time I left that area, it had never gotten sloppy again….so these kind of actions really do make people thinkg again!.

  7. Buy Ethical Palestinian olive oil -

This oil is delicious! and you are helping a very needy and deserving community….and to think that Jesus himself might have sheltered in one of the Olive Groves that this fruit is harvested from ……well if that doesn’t sell it!
