  1. Ladies: Consider a mooncup! -

I’ve been using mine since I was 17 (am now 21) and I love it. I do judo (including competitions), and the Mooncup has never let me down yet! I’ve also found my periods are shorter and considerably less painful than with pantyliners or tampons. I got mine from Boots. I can’t recommend them enough.

  2. Calculate your carbon footprint -

I get vastly different figures depending on which calculator I use – WWF says 9.14 tonnes, the actonco2 website says 0.99 tonnes.

Crucially, the calculators mostly seem targeted at home-owners. I lodge in one room of someone else’s house, so there’s very little I can do about the age of the boiler. Anyone know of a calculator or footprint-reducing tips aimed at people in my position?
