  1. Sharing with students -

I teach students, and have so far given away a wardrobe and some bookcases as well as giving them frequent cups of tea and coffee when they pop round to see me.

Once a year I also have a BBQ for them

  2. Encourage Others To Go Generous -

last year I told folk about the stuff generous was doing and what I was doing about it, this year in my next chapel session I am talking about the site. I aslo talk about it to my students in key issues for young people to be doing..

  3. Shop locally -

am about to join up to the organicfair to get fruit and veg boxes. Will have to see how it goes as my kids are quite fussy and I am often away due to work and stuff

  4. Put A Save-A-Flush Device In Your Cistern -

I have just moved back into my house after a flood and have put the ‘hog’ in that I picked up at Greenbelt too. I want some more too to give out to my studnet, colleagues and the church

  5. Improve your home's energy efficiency -

My daughters and I do tend to get cold, but we all have fleece blankets on the backs of our chairs!!. We have recently moved back to our house after a flood, and tonight I am going round the rooms that don’t yet have curtains and putting them up, all lined of course!!

the foil thing I am also going to try

  6. Have A Fairly Traded, Ethically Sourced, Especially Tasty Dinner -

last year I asked my students if they wanted to do the normal thing (secret santa) or give money to help othres. They chose to give money and we raised £70 for send a goat and the staff also joined in…which meant we had £150 altogether!!

We are definitely doing it again this year!

  7. Shower More, Bath Less -

I love my baths, however have not had one now since January as the plumber installed a new bathroom suite. The bath was is shallow, there is no point in having one, so I now shower as do my daughters! I also switch off the water in between soaping etc so save even more!
